『LIQUESCENCE』
The debut full-length album by Kyoto-based band pile of hex, formed in 2017. Released in 2023.
The title LIQUESCENCE emerged from the image of taking in something unfamiliar and intangible, something gaseous in nature, and transforming it into a tangible, liquid form. Each track was created as something fluid, constantly shifting and changing shape.
Throughout the album, the boundaries between the organic and the inorganic, the natural and the artificial, are explored through both sound and process. The interplay between different recording techniques, electronic sounds, and instruments creates a contrasting structure in the textures of the sound.
