『LIQUESCENCE』 2017年に京都で結成されたバンド、pile of hexの1stフルアルバム。2023年リリース。 『LIQUESCENCE』というタイトルは、それまで自分の中にはなかった不確かな気体状のものを取り込み、自分が扱える液体の形へと変化させるイメージから生まれた。各楽曲もまた、流動的で、絶えず形を変えていくものとして制作された。 有機的なものと無機的なもの、自然のものと人工的なもの。その境界を音と制作の両面から探っている。異なる録音手法や電子音と楽器の交差は、音の質感に対比構造を生み出す。 The debut full-length album by Kyoto-based band pile of hex, formed in 2017. Released in 2023. The title LIQUESCENCE emerged from the image of taking in something unfamiliar and intangible, something gaseous in nature, and transforming it into a tangible, liquid form. Each track was created as something fluid, constantly shifting and changing shape. Throughout the album, the boundaries between the organic and the inorganic, the natural and the artificial, are explored through both sound and process. ZINE『収集・濾過・凝固』 アルバム『LIQUESCENCE』の制作過程で生まれたイメージをもとに、音楽とは異なる媒体を通して作品を再構築したZINE。 無数の小さな水たまりがひとつにつながり、やがて形を変えていくように、イメージや言葉を集め、濾過し、新たな形へと定着させる。 “Collection, Filtration, Solidification” A zine that reinterprets the album LIQUESCENCE through a different medium, drawing on images and ideas that emerged during the album’s creation.
